Can Alaska Airlines tickets be transferred to another person?

Generally, No, Alaska Airlines tickets are non-transferable to another person.

A ticket is typically tied to the original passenger and cannot be fully changed to a new traveler's name.

The main exception is for group bookings (usually 10 or more passengers), where name changes or substitutions may be allowed up to a certain point before departure.

If you cannot use your ticket, your best option is usually to:

  1. Cancel the booking (if allowed by the fare rules).

  2. The original passenger will typically receive a travel credit for future use (if the ticket is not a Saver fare).

  3. The new person would then need to purchase a new ticket at the current fare.
